Brian O'Toole serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of BlackSky Technology Inc., a leading provider of real-time, high-frequency geospatial intelligence through its satellite constellation and AI-driven analytics platform. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the defense, intelligence, and space sectors, O'Toole joined BlackSky in 2021 as President and assumed the CEO role in 2024. Under his stewardship, the company has accelerated its Gen-3 satellite deployments, expanded commercial partnerships, and secured multimillion-dollar contracts with U.S. government agencies, driving revenue growth and enhancing capabilities in areas like maritime domain awareness, infrastructure monitoring, and disaster response. Prior to BlackSky, O'Toole held senior executive positions at L3Harris Technologies and its predecessor, Harris Corporation. As President of the Integrated Mission Systems Segment at L3Harris, he managed a $3 billion-plus portfolio delivering mission-critical solutions for space, airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems. Earlier, as Group President of Civil and National Space & Airborne Systems at Harris, he led strategic acquisitions, program executions, and innovations that bolstered satellite communications, electro-optical sensors, and national security missions, consistently achieving double-digit growth and operational excellence. O'Toole's track record includes spearheading transformative initiatives that generated billions in value for stakeholders, fostering collaborations with NASA, the Department of Defense, and international allies. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of South Florida, he is recognized for his expertise in scaling technology platforms and integrating advanced analytics with space-based data to deliver actionable intelligence in dynamic global environments.
