More detailed executive compensation data is available on Proxyanalyst

Yahoo Finance is one of the most popular personal finance websites. A friend was asking me recently if the data we were showing on Proxyanalyst was the same as Yahoo Finance.

In looking into this further, it appears that Yahoo Finance is showing a total compensation level based on salary, bonus and exercised options, but is not including other executive compensation components such as stock awards.

While stock awards have a vesting period, they are an important incentive and are reported in the proxy statement as part of total compensation.

Key Differences

• Yahoo Finance: Shows salary + bonus + exercised options
• Proxyanalyst: Shows complete compensation including stock awards, option awards, and other compensation

This means that Proxyanalyst provides a more comprehensive view of executive compensation as reported in official SEC filings.
