Tyler J. Hollingsworth serves as Chief Operating Officer at Allegiant Travel, where he directs the airline’s operational strategy, fleet management, and network expansion efforts. In this role, he oversees more than 5,000 employees across flight operations, maintenance, and ground services, focusing on maintaining Allegiant’s low-cost model while scaling its presence in underserved leisure markets. Since assuming the position in 2021, Hollingsworth has led initiatives that improved on-time performance to industry-leading levels and supported the integration of new Airbus A320-family aircraft into the fleet. Prior to joining Allegiant, Hollingsworth spent 18 years at Southwest Airlines, rising to Vice President of Operations, where he managed a team responsible for daily flight execution across a network of more than 100 cities. Earlier in his career, he held operational leadership roles at JetBlue Airways and began as a pilot with regional carriers. His notable achievements include designing a data-driven crew scheduling system that reduced cancellations by 22 percent and implementing fuel-efficiency programs that delivered annual savings exceeding $40 million. Hollingsworth holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a certified commercial pilot with more than 8,000 flight hours and serves on the board of the Air Transport Association’s operations committee. Under his guidance, Allegiant has consistently ranked among the most reliable U.S. carriers for cost control and operational reliability.
