Jason A. Gottlieb has been president of Artisan Partners Asset Management since January 2021 and served as executive vice president from February 2017 to January 2021. Mr. Gottlieb has served as president of Artisan Partners since January 2021. Before serving as Artisan Partners president, Mr. Gottlieb served as chief operating officer of investment operations from February 2017. Mr. Gottlieb joined the firm in October 2016 as a managing director of investment operations. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gottlieb was a partner and managing director at Goldman Sachs where he was a leader in Goldman Sachs Alternative Investment & Manager Selection Group and a portfolio manager on the Goldman Sachs Multi-Manager Alternatives Fund. Mr. Gottlieb will become chief executive officer, and is expected to become a member of the Board, immediately following the Annual Meeting. Mr. Gottlieb s experience as our president and in his prior roles makes him well qualified to serve as a member of the Board. Our Board values his substantial experience in the investment management industry, his proven track record of leadership and his extensive knowledge of and strategic contributions to our business.
