Samuel B. Sellers is a distinguished investment professional with more than 25 years of experience in global asset management. He began his career as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he specialized in undervalued sectors, before advancing to portfolio management roles at Fidelity Investments and T. Rowe Price. Sellers earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, laying a strong foundation for his analytical rigor and market insight. Joining Artisan Partners Asset Management in 2008, Sellers quickly established himself as a key architect of the firm’s value-oriented strategies. His achievements include delivering annualized returns exceeding benchmarks by 400 basis points in the Artisan Global Value Fund over a decade, earning him recognition as a top performer by Morningstar and Institutional Investor. Sellers’ contrarian approach, emphasizing high-conviction bets on overlooked opportunities, has consistently generated alpha while managing downside risk. Today, as a Partner and Co-Portfolio Manager at Artisan Partners, Sellers leads the firm’s U.S. Value and Global Value teams, overseeing $15 billion in assets. He plays a pivotal role in the investment committee, mentoring emerging talent and shaping the firm’s disciplined, research-driven process to deliver superior long-term results for institutional and high-net-worth clients.
