Matthew Calkins is a Founder of Appian and has served as our Chief Executive Officer, President, and as Chairman of our Board of Directors since August 1999. He also served as a director of MicroStrategy, Inc., a publicly held provider of enterprise software platforms, from November 2004 to April 2014. Mr. Calkins holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
