Eric S. Jacobsen serves as President—Upstream at BKV CORP, where he oversees all aspects of the company's upstream operations, including exploration, drilling, completions, and production of natural gas resources primarily in the Barnett Shale. With more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Eric brings deep expertise in unconventional resource development, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. He joined BKV in 2022, leveraging his proven track record to drive the company's expansion and optimization of its premier natural gas assets. Prior to BKV, Eric held senior leadership roles at leading energy firms, including Senior Vice President of Operations at EQT Corporation from 2019 to 2022, where he managed large-scale Marcellus Shale operations and delivered significant production increases through advanced fracturing techniques and cost reductions. Earlier in his career, he served in progressively senior positions at Range Resources Corporation and other independents, achieving milestones such as reserve doublings and safety performance exceeding industry benchmarks. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Under Eric's leadership at BKV CORP, the upstream division has accelerated production growth, implemented cutting-edge data analytics for reservoir optimization, and prioritized sustainable practices to reduce emissions and enhance environmental stewardship.
