Joseph K. Miller is the President, Government Operations at BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT), a leading supplier of nuclear components and services to the U.S. government. With more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry, Miller brings deep expertise in government contracting, regulatory compliance, and advanced nuclear technologies. Miller's career began with engineering roles at Babcock & Wilcox, BWXT's predecessor, before advancing to senior leadership at Westinghouse Electric Company. There, he served as Senior Vice President of Government Services and the Fuel Business Unit, where he managed multi-billion-dollar programs for naval reactor fuels and commercial nuclear power, driving innovations in fuel performance and supply chain reliability. His achievements include leading the development of high-performance fuels that enhanced U.S. naval capabilities and navigating complex federal regulations to ensure mission-critical deliveries. Since joining BWXT in 2018 as Vice President of NFS and ascending to his current position in 2021, Miller has spearheaded expansion into high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) production and advanced reactor fuels, securing landmark DOE contracts worth billions.
