Andrew R. J. Bonfield serves as Chief Financial Officer of Caterpillar Inc., a role he assumed in December 2020. A seasoned finance executive with more than 30 years of global experience, Bonfield earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Jesus College, University of Cambridge, and is a qualified chartered accountant. Prior to joining Caterpillar, Bonfield was CFO of Dow Inc. from 2019 to 2020, where he led the company's financial separation from DowDuPont and established robust financial foundations for its independent operations. Before that, he served as CFO of Unilever from 2016 to 2019, overseeing a major productivity savings program that delivered €4 billion in benefits, optimizing capital allocation, and enhancing shareholder returns amid complex portfolio transformations. At Caterpillar, Bonfield directs global finance functions, including financial planning, treasury, tax, investor relations, and risk management.
