Aoife McGrath serves as Executive Vice President, Exploration at Coeur Mining Inc., a position she assumed in 2023 after joining the company as Vice President, Exploration in April 2021. A professional geologist with over 25 years of international experience in mineral exploration, McGrath oversees the company's global exploration strategy, directing programs across key assets including Rochester, Palmarejo, Kensington, Wharf, and the Silvertip exploration alliance. Her leadership has driven significant resource growth and discovery efforts, enhancing Coeur's portfolio of silver, gold, zinc, and lead deposits. Prior to Coeur, McGrath spent 15 years at Teck Resources Limited, rising to Exploration Manager for copper and other base metals in Western Canada and the United States. There, she led multidisciplinary teams that advanced major projects, including the discovery and delineation of the Groundstar uranium deposit and exploration at Highland Valley Copper. Earlier in her career, she held exploration roles with Uranerz Energy Corp. in Wyoming's Powder River Basin and conducted grassroots exploration in Ireland and Australia for companies like Rio Tinto and Minco plc. McGrath holds a B.Sc. in Geology from University College Cork, Ireland, and is a registered Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) in British Columbia. Under McGrath's guidance, Coeur has achieved notable exploration successes, such as expanding oxide resources at Rochester by over 50% ahead of its 2024 restart and delineating high-grade zones at Kensington and Wharf. Her expertise in integrating advanced geoscience technologies with field operations has positioned Coeur for sustained discovery and value creation in premier mining districts.
