Todd L. Elliott is the Senior Vice President of Engineered Materials at Celanese Corporation, a global leader in specialty chemicals and advanced materials. In this role, he oversees the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the Engineered Materials segment, which includes high-performance engineering polymers, composites, and sustainable solutions used in automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, and industrial applications. Reporting directly to the CEO, Todd drives innovation, market expansion, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring the business delivers cutting-edge materials that meet evolving customer demands for lightweighting, electrification, and circular economy principles. With more than 25 years of experience in the chemicals and materials industry, Todd began his career as a process engineer at DuPont, where he honed his expertise in polymer manufacturing and process optimization. He joined Celanese in 2008 as Vice President of Global Operations for the Acetyl Chain, advancing through key leadership positions including General Manager of the Engineered Materials Americas business and Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Operations. Under his leadership, the Engineered Materials division has achieved double-digit annual growth, expanded manufacturing capacity in Europe and Asia, and launched breakthrough products like low-emission thermoplastics and bio-based resins. Todd's notable achievements include spearheading the $1.8 billion acquisition and integration of the Redditip and Cool Polymers businesses, which strengthened Celanese's portfolio in medical and high-performance applications. A chemical engineer by training with a B.S. from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University, he is recognized for his customer-centric approach, fostering partnerships with major OEMs like Ford, Boeing, and Apple. Todd also champions diversity and inclusion, serving on Celanese's Executive Diversity Council, and is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Society of Plastics Engineers' ANTEC conference.
