Bruce Fleming serves as Executive Vice President of Montana Renewables & Corporate Strategy at Calumet, Inc., where he leads the strategic development and operations of the company's renewable fuels platform. In this role, he oversees the transformation of Calumet's Great Falls, Montana facility into a state-of-the-art renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production site, driving the company's pivot toward low-carbon energy solutions. Under his leadership, Montana Renewables has achieved significant milestones, including securing key feedstock supply agreements and advancing toward full commercial production capacity of over 18,000 barrels per day. With more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Fleming brings a wealth of expertise in refining, midstream operations, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Calumet in 2022, he held senior leadership positions at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, where he managed commercial strategy for renewable fuels and led multimillion-dollar projects in biofuels and logistics. His earlier career included roles at Valero Energy Corporation, focusing on process optimization and sustainability initiatives in complex refining environments. Fleming's achievements include spearheading the successful commissioning of renewable fuel units that enhanced operational efficiency and reduced emissions, earning industry recognition such as the 2023 Renewable Fuels Executive of the Year award from the Advanced Biofuels Association. A chemical engineer by training with an MBA from the University of Texas, he is a vocal advocate for energy transition, frequently speaking at conferences on scaling renewable diesel production to meet growing demand for decarbonized transportation fuels.
