David Lunin serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Calumet, Inc., a diversified producer of specialty hydrocarbon products, fuels, and renewable resources. In this capacity, he leads the company's global finance organization, encompassing accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, risk management, and investor relations. Lunin's strategic oversight has been instrumental in fortifying Calumet's balance sheet, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting the company's expansion into sustainable energy solutions. Lunin joined Calumet in 2013 as Vice President of Finance, rising rapidly through roles including Senior Vice President of Finance before assuming the CFO position in 2021. Prior to Calumet, he spent over a decade at CITGO Petroleum Corporation, where he held progressive finance leadership positions, including Director of Finance for Commercial Operations, honing his expertise in downstream energy markets, refining economics, and financial modeling. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Lunin also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Under Lunin's leadership, Calumet has achieved significant milestones, including multiple successful debt refinancings totaling over $2 billion, the acquisition and integration of Montana Renewables to bolster its renewable diesel production, and navigating macroeconomic challenges like the COVID-19 downturn. His focus on operational efficiency and growth initiatives has enhanced liquidity, reduced leverage, and positioned Calumet as a leader in the energy transition, delivering strong returns for stakeholders.
