Alex J. Panda serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Core Molding Technologies, Inc. (CMT), a leading manufacturer of sheet molding compound and custom-engineered molded parts for the automotive, light truck, medium and heavy-duty truck, and industrial markets. Appointed to this role in May 2021, Panda oversees all aspects of the company's financial operations, including strategic planning, financial reporting, treasury management, investor relations, and capital allocation. His leadership has been pivotal in strengthening CMT's balance sheet, optimizing cash flow, and supporting operational efficiencies amid volatile market conditions and supply chain disruptions. Prior to joining CMT, Panda built an extensive career in corporate finance within the automotive and manufacturing sectors. He most recently served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (AAM) from 2018 to 2021, where he managed global treasury functions, executed debt refinancing initiatives, and facilitated key strategic transactions. Before AAM, he held the same title at Tower International, Inc. from 2015 to 2018, leading efforts that reduced net debt by over $200 million and improved liquidity through disciplined cost management and asset optimization. With more than 20 years of progressive finance experience, including earlier roles at Tower Automotive and other industry players, Panda holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Walsh College and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. His achievements encompass navigating complex mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, enhancing shareholder value, and implementing robust risk management frameworks, positioning CMT for sustained growth and resilience in a competitive landscape.
