Kelly J. Potes is the Chief Executive Officer of ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc. and its principal subsidiary, ChoiceOne Bank, a position he has held since January 2022. With more than 30 years of banking experience, Kelly joined ChoiceOne in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending after successful tenures at Independent Bank, Old Kent Bank, and Fifth Third Bank. His early career focused on commercial lending and relationship management, building a strong foundation in community banking that emphasized personalized service and regional economic development. Rising through the ranks at ChoiceOne, Kelly advanced to Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking in 2007 and then to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2019, overseeing lending, operations, technology, and strategic initiatives. Under his leadership as COO and now CEO, ChoiceOne has pursued aggressive organic growth, completed strategic acquisitions, and enhanced its digital capabilities while maintaining a commitment to Michigan communities.
