COLLEGIUM PHARMACEUTICAL INC - Executive Compensation
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Executive Compensation
David Dieter is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Collegium Pharmaceutical Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing extended-release products for chronic pain management. In this role, he oversees all legal, compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory matters, providing strategic counsel to the executive team and board of directors. Dieter's leadership has been instrumental in navigating complex regulatory environments, supporting product launches, and driving corporate development initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships that have fueled Collegium's growth in the abuse-deterrent opioid market. With more than 25 years of experience in life sciences law, Dieter brings a proven track record from senior roles at leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Collegium in 2019, he served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at a major biotech firm, where he managed global legal operations, led patent litigation efforts that protected blockbuster products, and negotiated high-value licensing deals exceeding $500 million. His achievements include successfully defending intellectual property in ANDA litigations and implementing robust compliance programs that mitigated regulatory risks across multiple FDA inspections. Under Dieter's guidance, Collegium has strengthened its position as an innovator in pain therapeutics, achieving key milestones such as FDA approvals for Xtampza ER and Xtampza ER ZR, while enhancing corporate governance and risk management. A graduate of Boston College Law School and holder of a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, Dieter is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts and New York, and actively serves on industry advisory boards focused on healthcare compliance and innovation.
