Clio Crespy serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of California Resources Corporation (CRC), a leading independent oil and natural gas company focused on California's strategic energy transition opportunities. With over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting within the energy sector, Crespy joined CRC in April 2020, bringing expertise in financial strategy, capital markets, and operational efficiency. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to CRC, Crespy spent more than a decade at Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy), rising to Senior Vice President of Finance, where she oversaw financial planning, treasury, tax, and investor relations for key business units, including Oxy Low Carbon Ventures and Permian Resources. Her tenure at Oxy included pivotal roles in mergers and acquisitions, debt management, and supporting low-carbon initiatives. Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Manager at Deloitte, providing audit and advisory services to energy clients, honing her skills in complex financial reporting and compliance. At CRC, Crespy has been instrumental in transforming the company's financial profile, reducing net debt from over $3 billion to under $500 million, executing the landmark $2.5 billion acquisition of Aera Energy to bolster CRC's carbon capture and storage (CCS) portfolio, and securing innovative financing for energy transition projects. Under her leadership, CRC has strengthened its balance sheet, enhanced shareholder returns through dividends and buybacks, and positioned the company as a leader in California's net-zero ambitions, all while maintaining rigorous financial discipline amid volatile markets.
