Alain M. Bellemare serves as Executive Vice President and President of International at Delta Air Lines, Inc., leading the airline's expansive global operations across more than 50 countries and territories. With nearly four decades of aviation industry experience, Bellemare joined Delta in 2016 from Bombardier Inc., where he was President and CEO of Bombardier Commercial Aircraft from 2014 to 2016. In that role, he spearheaded the commercialization of the CSeries program, culminating in its successful transition to the Airbus A220 through a pivotal partnership. Earlier at Bombardier, he led Aerostructures and Engineering Services as President and CEO, driving significant growth and operational efficiencies. Before Bombardier, Bellemare held key leadership positions at Airbus, including Vice President of Sales for North America and Vice President of Marketing for the A320 family, as well as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Services at Raytheon Aircraft. At Delta, he has been instrumental in forging and expanding strategic joint ventures with partners like Air France-KLM, Virgin Atlantic, Korean Air, and LATAM Airlines Group, enhancing Delta's premium transatlantic, transpacific, and Latin American networks. His strategic vision has fueled double-digit international revenue growth and positioned Delta as the leading U.S. carrier for international travel. Bellemare's accomplishments include the 2020 Charlie Taylor "Man of the Year" Award from the Wings Club for his aviation contributions. A native Canadian, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
