Joseph Zuiker serves as Executive Vice President of Operations & Engineering at 3D Systems Corporation, a global leader in additive manufacturing and 3D printing solutions. With more than 25 years of expertise in materials science and advanced manufacturing, Zuiker has played a pivotal role in pioneering technologies that bridge traditional engineering with regenerative medicine and industrial-scale production. Zuiker holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Northwestern University, a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining 3D Systems in 2015 as Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing Solutions, he spent over two decades at General Electric, where he led R&D teams in developing high-performance materials for aerospace, energy, and healthcare applications, including composite structures and bioresorbable implants. In his current leadership position, Zuiker oversees worldwide operations, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing excellence, driving operational efficiency and scalability across 3D Systems' portfolio. His achievements include spearheading the development of metal additive manufacturing platforms like the DMP family and regenerative medicine initiatives, such as the CELLINK acquisition integration and FDA-cleared bioprinting solutions. Under his guidance, the company has accelerated innovations in personalized implants and tissue engineering, solidifying 3D Systems' position at the forefront of Industry 4.0 transformation.
