He previously held the CFO position at Nektar Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, from 2017 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Finance at Relypsa, Inc., where he contributed to the company's growth ahead of its acquisition by Galena Biopharma (now Sellas Life Sciences). Sylvain began his professional journey at Deloitte & Touche, advancing through various finance and accounting roles that honed his expertise in strategic financial planning and capital markets. Under Sylvain's leadership at DexCom, the company has achieved significant milestones, including record revenue growth, successful product launches like the G7 CGM system, and expansions into international markets. His strategic oversight has strengthened DexCom's financial position, enabling investments in R&D and global scalability while maintaining robust investor confidence, as evidenced by the company's strong market performance and S&P 500 inclusion in 2023. Sylvain holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
