John C. Dinelli is the Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer at Entergy Corporation, responsible for overseeing the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company's nuclear fleet, including the Waterford 3, River Bend Station, and Arkansas Nuclear One plants. With more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry, Dinelli has built a distinguished career focused on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and safety leadership. He joined Entergy in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Nuclear Operations before ascending to his current executive role in 2017, where he directs strategy, fleet performance, and long-term sustainability initiatives for Entergy's nuclear assets. Prior to Entergy, Dinelli held key leadership positions at Exelon Generation, including Vice President of Operations at the Clinton Power Station, where he drove significant improvements in plant reliability, capacity factors, and safety performance, earning accolades from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO). His earlier career at Commonwealth Edison (now part of Exelon) spanned engineering, maintenance, and management roles, honing his expertise in boiling water reactor (BWR) and pressurized water reactor (PWR) technologies. Under Dinelli's guidance at Entergy, the nuclear fleet has consistently ranked among the top performers in the industry, achieving record run times, successful license renewals, and INPO excellence awards. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering, Dinelli also holds an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. His commitment to nuclear safety, innovation, and workforce development has positioned Entergy as a leader in carbon-free energy production.
