President, First Community Bankshares, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer and President, First Community Bank, Bluefield, Virginia. Mr. Mills has served as President of the Corporation since August 31, 2013 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of First Community Bank. Mr. Mills has been employed by the Corporation and/or one of its subsidiaries since 1998. Mr. Mills served as Market President of the Princeton Division of First Community Bank from 1998 until 2005, Senior Vice President of Credit Administration from 2005 to 2006, and most recently as Chief Credit Officer from 2007 until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Mills is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Concord College (now University). Mr. Mills is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Mills relevant experience qualifying him for service as a director includes: more than thirty-five (35) years of experience in the financial services industry, during which he has worked in, or been responsible for, many functional areas including without limitation, Internal Audit, Credit Analysis, Trust, Human Resources, Market Management, and Credit Administration Management; extensive civic and community involvement; and more than ten (10) years of board service for the Corporation s banking subsidiary.
