Charles P. Theuer, M.D., Ph.D. , has served as a member of our board of directors since December 2015. Dr. Theuer has served as Chief Medical Officer at Halozyme, Inc., since October 2024. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer at Tracon Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from June 2006 until July 2024 and Chief Medical Officer at TargeGen, Inc. until June 2006. He previously served on the board of directors of Tracon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from June 2006 until July 2024 and Oncternal Therapeutics Inc., from May 2018 until July 2025. Dr. Theuer received a B.S. in Life Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1985. He received his M.D. from U.C. San Francisco in 1989. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Health Science from U.C. Irvine in 2002. We believe that Dr. Theuer is qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors based on his medical and scientific background and because of his experience in leading and serving on the boards of public and private life science companies.
