Mr. Porter is the Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel of Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (MISO), with its principal office in Carmel, Indiana. MISO provides an energy market that transmits electricity to 15 midwestern and southern states. Mr. Porter has been an officer of MISO since 2016. Mr. Porter has a juris doctorate degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and previously worked in private practice before serving on the Ohio Governor s cabinet for five years. Mr. Porter served as Director of the Ohio Department of Commerce and as Chair of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.
