Mr. Bulls has served as the Chairperson of our Board since October 2021. He has spent over thirty-five years at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), and since 2014 has been serving as Vice Chairman, Americas, and International Director and founder of JLL s Public Institutions business unit, which specializes in delivering comprehensive real estate solutions to nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, and governments at the federal, state, and local levels. A thought leader and strategic advisor, Mr. Bulls guides the firm and senior executive clients on issues related to real estate occupancy, the environment, corporate governance, and social trends. Additionally, Mr. Bulls previously co-founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bulls Capital Partners, a multi-family financing company, and founded Bulls Advisory Group, LLC, a management and real estate advisory firm. Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Bulls completed nearly twelve years of active-duty service with the United States Army. He retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves in 2008 and received the Legion of Merit award for his leadership and strategic thinking skills. In November 2021, Mr. Bulls was appointed by the United States Department of Defense to the Defense Policy Board, which provides the Secretary of Defense and the Deputy Secretary of Defense advice and opinions concerning matters of defense policy. Mr. Bulls has served on the board of directors for Host Hotels and Resorts, Inc. (Nasdaq: HST) since June 2021, Comfort Systems USA, Inc. (NYSE: FIX) since 2001, Collegis Education since September 2020, American Red Cross since September 2016, New York State Teachers Retirement System since May 2000, and the West Point Association of Graduates since 1996. He previously served on the board of USAA and the board of American Campus Communities, Inc. (formerly listed on the NYSE prior to acquisition by The Blackstone Group) from January 2021 through August 2022.
