Zimmerman later served as Vice President of Finance at Disney Parks & Resorts and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Herschend Family Entertainment, honing his expertise in managing large-scale theme parks and attractions. In 2009, Zimmerman joined Six Flags Entertainment Corporation as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer amid the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring. He played a pivotal role in guiding Six Flags through its emergence from bankruptcy in 2010, becoming President and Chief Operating Officer shortly thereafter.
