A Certified Public Accountant and graduate of the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business with a BS in Accounting, Nitya's early career included roles at Deloitte and other prominent firms, honing her skills in auditing innovative financial products. As COO at HASI, Nitya oversees enterprise-wide functions including finance, accounting, human capital, information technology, and investor relations, ensuring operational efficiency amid rapid growth. Her achievements include spearheading the integration of advanced ESG metrics into investment processes, facilitating over $10 billion in climate-focused financings, and fostering a culture of innovation that has positioned HASI as a top performer in sustainable infrastructure. Under her leadership, the firm has expanded into multifamily energy efficiency, renewable energy projects, and grid modernization, delivering strong returns while advancing global decarbonization efforts.
