David O’Reilly serves as Chief Executive Officer of Howard Hughes Holdings Inc., a leading real estate investment and operating company renowned for its master-planned communities, operating assets, and strategic developments across the United States. With over two decades of experience in real estate investment, development, and asset management, O’Reilly has built a distinguished career focused on creating high-value, mixed-use properties. Prior to joining Howard Hughes in November 2020, he spent six years at Oxford Properties Group, a division of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), where he rose to President of U.S. Operations. In this role, he oversaw a $20 billion portfolio, driving transformative growth through acquisitions, developments, and operational enhancements in multifamily, office, and retail sectors. O’Reilly’s earlier tenure at Prologis, the world’s largest logistics real estate company, further solidified his expertise, as he advanced from Vice President of Portfolio Management to Senior Managing Director, leading a team that executed over $5 billion in transactions and developed millions of square feet of industrial space. His career also includes key positions at CenterPoint Properties Trust and LaSalle Investment Management, where he honed skills in acquisitions, dispositions, and capital markets. Notable achievements include spearheading landmark projects like the redevelopment of Chicago’s Fulton Market District and pioneering sustainable urban infill developments. Since assuming the CEO role at Howard Hughes, O’Reilly has steered the company toward accelerated growth and portfolio optimization, emphasizing high-barrier-to-entry markets such as New York’s Seaport District, Honolulu’s Ward Village, and The Woodlands in Texas. Under his leadership, the company has advanced multi-billion-dollar pipelines, divested non-core assets for enhanced shareholder value, and positioned Howard Hughes as a premier developer of experiential, community-centric destinations. O’Reilly’s strategic vision continues to drive innovation and long-term value creation in the evolving real estate landscape.
