Appointed to the role in March 2021, Telesz oversees all financial aspects of the company, including strategic planning, financial reporting, treasury operations, risk management, and investor relations. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening Hallador's balance sheet, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting the company's transition toward sustainable energy operations amid evolving market dynamics in the coal and power sectors. Prior to joining Hallador, Telesz built an extensive career in the coal industry. Before that, he was Senior Vice President and CFO at James River Coal Company from 2013 to 2016, managing finances during a period of industry consolidation and operational challenges. Earlier, Telesz spent over 13 years at Peabody Energy Corporation, rising through progressively senior roles in finance, planning, and coal supply management. A Certified Public Accountant, Telesz holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University. His deep expertise in energy sector finance, capital markets, and operational efficiency has positioned Hallador for continued growth and adaptability in a rapidly changing energy landscape.
