C. Hunter Westbrook serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of HomeTrust Bancshares, Inc., and its principal subsidiary, HomeTrust Bank, positions he has held since 2020. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Mr. Westbrook joined HomeTrust in 2015 as Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer, where he quickly drove initiatives to enhance retail banking operations, expand the branch network, and strengthen community relationships across North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. His leadership has been instrumental in navigating the company through economic challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, while maintaining robust asset quality and delivering consistent profitability. Prior to HomeTrust, Mr. Westbrook held senior roles at Capital Bank, N.A., from 2013 to 2015, as Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer, overseeing consumer and commercial banking strategies. Earlier in his career, he spent six years at NewBridge Bank in various leadership capacities, including President of the Consumer and Business Banking Division, and held progressive positions at RBC Centura Bank (now PNC Bank). A graduate of Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Business and Economics, Mr. Westbrook is recognized for his expertise in strategic growth, risk management, and fostering innovative banking solutions tailored to community needs.
