Mr. Cubbage is Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of EGH Acquisition Corp. and Managing Partner of Energy Growth Holdings LLC. He has more than 30 years of experience in energy, infrastructure, and investment management, having previously served as Chairman and CEO of Tortoise Acquisition Corp., which merged with Hyliion Inc. ( Legacy Hyliion ) in October 2020; Tortoise Acquisition Corp. II, which merged with Volta Inc. and later Shell USA, Inc.; and Tortoise Ecofin Acquisition Corp. III. Mr. Cubbage was the founder and CEO of the private equity firm Lightfoot Capital Partners from 2006 to 2019 and served as Chairman and CEO of its portfolio company Arc Logistics as well as a director of International Resource Partners. Earlier in his career, he held senior investment banking roles at Banc of America Securities and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Cubbage has served as a director of EGH Acquisition Corp. since May 2025. He holds an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management and a BA from Eastern Washington University.
