Paul Smithers is a co-founder and has served as our president and chief executive officer since our formation in June 2016 and as a director since November 2016. From August 2013 to July 2015, Mr. Smithers served as co-founder and chief legal officer of Iso Nano International, LLC, a designer and manufacturer of advanced materials for use in the aerospace, consumer goods, electronics and safety industries. Prior to his time at Iso Nano, Mr. Smithers was the managing partner of Smithers & Player, Attorneys at Law from September 1989 to July 2013. Mr. Smithers is a member of the California Bar (inactive). Mr. Smithers brings over 35 years of legal experience, providing the Board with management expertise and deep regulatory and legal insight. His background has been particularly valuable assisting the Board with navigating complex legal matters, including efforts to regain possession of properties from defaulted tenants. In addition, his knowledge of the Company's operations enhances his effectiveness as a member of our Board.
