Robert Lechleider, M.D., is a distinguished oncologist and biopharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of experience in clinical development, regulatory strategy, and oncology drug commercialization. He earned his M.D. from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, completed his internal medicine residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and pursued a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. Early in his career, Dr. Lechleider held key roles at Genentech, where he contributed to the advancement of multiple investigational oncology agents through clinical trials and regulatory submissions. Dr. Lechleider’s career is marked by transformative achievements, including leadership positions at AVEO Oncology, Mirati Therapeutics, and Takeda Oncology, where he served as Vice President of Clinical Development. He spearheaded the global development and FDA approval of brigatinib (Alunbrig®), a breakthrough ALK inhibitor for non-small cell lung cancer that has improved outcomes for patients with this aggressive disease. His strategic oversight has also driven numerous Phase 2 and 3 programs, IND filings, and successful interactions with regulatory agencies worldwide. As Chief Medical Officer at IMMUNOME INC., Dr. Lechleider directs the company’s clinical pipeline, including the ongoing Phase 3 RINGSIDE trial of AL102, a gamma-secretase inhibitor for desmoid tumors, and early-stage programs utilizing Immunome’s proprietary human memory B cell platform for precision oncology.
