Kathleen A. Morgan is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Iridium Communications Inc., a leading provider of global satellite communications. Morgan joined Iridium in 2014 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, bringing extensive expertise from prior leadership positions. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Hughes Network Systems, LLC (2005–2014), where she led legal teams through major satellite broadband deployments, mergers, acquisitions, and international regulatory matters. Earlier, she held progressive roles at EchoStar Communications Corporation, including Vice President of Legal Affairs, and began her career as an associate at Covington & Burling LLP, focusing on telecommunications law. Under Morgan's leadership, Iridium has achieved significant milestones, including securing key FCC spectrum approvals, executing debt refinancing transactions, and facilitating strategic partnerships that enhanced the company's commercial and government offerings. Her strategic counsel has been instrumental in navigating U.S. export controls, antitrust reviews, and global compliance challenges, contributing to Iridium's sustained growth and operational excellence. A graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A.) and The George Washington University Law School (J.D.), Morgan is recognized for her deep industry knowledge and commitment to corporate integrity.
