Vincent J. O’Neill is the Chief Financial Officer of Iridium Communications Inc., the world’s only satellite communications company with coverage pole-to-pole. In this capacity, he leads the company’s global finance organization, overseeing financial planning and analysis, investor relations, treasury, tax, internal audit, and risk management. With more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications and satellite industries, O’Neill plays a pivotal role in executing Iridium’s growth strategy, ensuring financial discipline, and supporting the commercialization of its low-Earth orbit satellite network. O’Neill joined Iridium in 2018 as Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer, advancing to CFO in 2020. Previously, he spent over a decade at Hughes Network Systems (an EchoStar company), where he held progressive finance leadership roles, culminating as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, managing global treasury operations, capital markets activities, and financial reporting for broadband satellite services. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Finance at Level 3 Communications, building expertise in financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, and operational finance. O’Neill holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University School of Business. Under O’Neill’s stewardship, Iridium has delivered strong financial performance, including a landmark $1.45 billion debt refinancing in 2021, sustained revenue growth exceeding 10% annually, and the successful funding and deployment of its Certus broadband service. His strategic leadership has positioned Iridium for long-term profitability and innovation in the satellite communications sector, earning recognition from investors and industry peers alike.
