Christopher Hogbin serves as Chief Executive Officer of Lazard Asset Management (LAM), a division of Lazard Inc., where he leads the firm's global investment strategies, product development, and client relationships. Appointed CEO in 2021, Hogbin oversees approximately $250 billion in assets under management across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset solutions. His leadership emphasizes innovation in sustainable investing, thematic strategies, and institutional partnerships, driving LAM's expansion into high-growth areas like private markets and ESG-focused products. Prior to joining Lazard in 2018 as Head of Global Product, Hogbin spent 15 years at BlackRock, where he rose to Global Head of Multi-Asset Strategies and Alternatives. In that role, he managed over $500 billion in assets, pioneering dynamic asset allocation models and alternative investment platforms that enhanced client returns amid volatile markets. Earlier in his career, he was a senior investment consultant at Watson Wyatt (now Willis Towers Watson), advising pension funds and endowments on portfolio construction and risk management. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, Hogbin holds a degree in Economics from the University of Exeter. Under his stewardship, LAM has achieved consistent outperformance against benchmarks, expanded its global footprint with new offices in Asia and Europe, and solidified its reputation as a trusted partner for sophisticated institutional investors seeking alpha in complex environments.
