PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND
Mr. Caruso currently serves as McKesson s Lead Independent Director. He retired as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Johnson & Johnson, a manufacturer of medical devices and pharmaceutical products, in 2018, having served in the role since 2007. He led Johnson & Johnson s financial and investor relations activities, as well as the procurement organization. Mr. Caruso joined Johnson & Johnson in 1999 as chief financial officer for Centocor, Inc., upon the completion of the merger of Centocor and Johnson & Johnson. Prior to joining Centocor, he had varied industry experiences with KPMG. Mr. Caruso served as co-chair of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Global Initiative on Health and the Economy and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Mr. Caruso earned a B.A. in accounting from Drexel University in 1980.
