Anthony D. Foti serves as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at MDU Resources Group, Inc., a Fortune 500 diversified energy and construction company. He joined the organization in June 2019 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, advancing to his current role where he oversees all legal affairs, corporate governance, compliance, ethics, and risk management. Foti leads a team of legal professionals supporting MDU's operations across its subsidiaries in electric and natural gas utilities, construction services, and resource management, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements from bodies such as the SEC, FERC, and state commissions. Prior to MDU Resources, Foti held the position of Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Xcel Energy Inc., a leading U.S. utility, from 2016 to 2019, where he managed complex litigation, regulatory proceedings, and corporate transactions. His earlier career included serving as a partner in the energy and litigation practice groups at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, environmental law, and energy regulation. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D., magna cum laude) and St. John's University (B.A.), Foti has been recognized for his expertise in the energy sector, including being named a "Minnesota Lawyer of the Year" in energy law.
