David H. Li joined Ingevity in 2021 as Executive Vice President and President of the Performance Chemicals segment, driving operational excellence and expanding the company's portfolio in high-value applications like automotive and industrial purification. Prior to Ingevity, Li built a distinguished career in the chemicals and coatings sectors. From 2016 to 2021, he was President of the Performance Coatings business at Axalta Coating Systems, where he led the segment to record growth through innovation, market expansion, and supply chain optimization. Earlier, he spent over a decade at Ashland Global Holdings Inc., rising to Group Vice President of the Valvoline business and Vice President of Americas Commercial Chemicals, roles in which he spearheaded business transformations and commercial strategies across North and South America.
