His leadership ensures the integration of innovative NK cell engineering with robust clinical execution to advance transformative therapies for patients with hematologic and solid tumors. With over two decades of experience in oncology drug development, Dr. Rose previously held senior leadership positions at Takeda Oncology as Vice President of Oncology Clinical Research, where he spearheaded global development strategies for antibody-drug conjugates and bispecific antibodies. Earlier, at Genentech, he served as Senior Medical Director in Hematology/Oncology, contributing to the successful advancement of multiple investigational agents. Dr. Rose earned his M.D. from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and his Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology from Stanford University, complemented by residency training in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology/oncology at Stanford. Dr. Rose's notable achievements include playing pivotal roles in the regulatory approvals of key oncology therapeutics, such as ADCETRIS® (brentuximab vedotin) and POLIVY® (polatuzumab vedotin-piiq), as well as advancing cell therapies and immunotherapies through complex clinical programs. At NKARTA, he has been instrumental in accelerating the company's pipeline, forging key partnerships, and positioning NK cell therapies as a next-generation modality with enhanced safety and efficacy profiles over traditional T-cell approaches. His expertise in translational medicine and regulatory strategy continues to propel NKARTA toward delivering breakthrough treatments for unmet needs in cancer care.
