George Kurian is the Chief Executive Officer of NetApp, Inc., a leading global cloud-led, data-centric software company. He joined NetApp in 2011 as the Senior Vice President of the company's Storage Solutions Group, and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Product Operations in 2013. In 2015, Kurian was appointed as the CEO, succeeding Tom Georgens. Under his leadership, NetApp has focused on accelerating its cloud business and expanding its data management solutions. Before joining NetApp, Kurian had an extensive career at Akamai Technologies, where he served as Vice President of the Commerce Business Unit. He played a key role in growing the company's e-commerce solutions and expanding its global presence. Prior to Akamai, Kurian held various positions at McKinsey & Company, where he advised technology clients on strategy, operations, and organizational transformation. As CEO of NetApp, George Kurian has been instrumental in driving the company's growth and innovation. He has led the development of NetApp's hybrid multi-cloud data services, which enable customers to manage, protect, and analyze their data across various cloud environments. Under his leadership, NetApp has been recognized as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage Arrays and has received numerous awards for its workplace culture and corporate social responsibility efforts. Kurian holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
