Eric H. Rubin joined our board of directors in March 2026. Dr. Rubin is a physician-scientist and biotechnology executive with over 35 years of experience in oncology drug development, initially as a faculty member at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, then as a senior leader of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where he served as Director of its Investigational Therapeutics Division. From April 2008 to December 2023, Dr. Rubin was at Merck & Co., Inc., where he held roles of increasing responsibility in oncology development, including serving as senior vice president and head of early clinical development for oncology. During his tenure, he contributed to the advancement of multiple oncology programs, including pembrolizumab, other immune checkpoint inhibitors, and targeted therapies. Dr. Rubin has served as a member of the National Cancer Institute and American Cancer Society study sections, as well as on program committees for the American Association of Cancer Research from 2022-2023 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology in 2022. He was a co-chair of the Cancer Steering Committee of the Biomarkers Consortium from 2015-2022, Foundation of the National Institute of Health, and was a member of the National Cancer Moonshot Initiative/Blue Ribbon Panel Working Group on Expanding Clinical Trials. Dr. Rubin received his M.D. from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and his B.S. in mathematics and biology from Tulane University. Our board of directors believes that Dr. Rubin is qualified to serve as a director based on his career and experience in oncology drug development and professional experience as a biotechnology executive.
