Mel Martinez has been a director since December 1, 2012. Mr. Martinez was Chairman of the South East and Latin America for JPMorgan Chase & Co. ("JPMorgan") from August 2010 through March 1, 2023. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Mr. Martinez was a partner in the law firm DLA Piper from September 2009 to July 2010. Mr. Martinez served as a United States Senator from Florida from January 2005 to September 2009 and served as the Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development before that. Within the last five years, Mr. Martinez served on the board of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation. The Board believes that Mr. Martinez is highly qualified to serve on our Board based on his executive leadership experience, his housing industry experience, his government and housing regulatory expertise, and his public company board experience.
