Mr. Eckel was appointed as a director of Peoples Financial Services Corp. and Peoples Security Bank and Trust Company as of July 1, 2024, in accordance with the FNCB merger agreement. Prior to the FNCB merger, Mr. Eckel served on the boards of directors of FNCB Bancorp, Inc. and FNCB Bank since 2014. Mr. Eckel is the sole owner and Chief Executive Officer of Fred W. Eckel and Sons and President of Eckel Farms, Inc. Mr. Eckel is an Emeritus Trustee of The Pennsylvania State University and previously served as the chair of the Trustees of Countryside Community Church. Mr. Eckel formerly served as Board member and Chairman of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 insurance provider, and Allied Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.
