Mr. Blair is the Manager of Harborview Associates, LLC, a company that holds and manages investments in various real estate properties. Mr. Blair is also the former Chairman of the Board and the former Chief Executive Officer of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. In addition, Mr. Blair served in a number of senior leadership positions with AvalonBay Communities, Inc., including Chief Executive Officer from February 2001 through December 2011, President from September 2000 through February 2005 and Chief Operating Officer from February 1999 to February 2001. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Navitas Capital, a venture capital firm focused on technology for the real estate sector. Mr. Blair also serves on the Advisory Board of the Boston College Center for Real Estate and Urban Action.
