Mark Murchison serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Perpetua Resources Corp., a U.S.-based critical minerals development company focused on the Stibnite Gold Project in Idaho. With over 20 years of experience in the mining and natural resources sectors, Murchison brings a proven track record of financial leadership and strategic capital management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada, complemented by extensive expertise in financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Prior to joining Perpetua Resources in 2021, Murchison held senior finance roles at major mining companies, including Vice President of Finance at Hecla Mining Company from 2018 to 2021, where he oversaw global financial operations and supported key expansion initiatives. Before that, he served as Director of Finance at Coeur Mining Inc. from 2015 to 2018, contributing to debt refinancing and operational efficiencies that enhanced shareholder value. His earlier career included progressive positions at Goldcorp Inc., where he managed treasury functions and international tax strategies during a period of significant growth and acquisitions. At Perpetua Resources, Murchison leads the company's financial strategy, playing a pivotal role in securing over $250 million in non-dilutive funding from the U.S. Department of Defense and advancing toward project financing for the Stibnite Gold Project—one of the largest known antimony reserves in the U.S. His achievements include streamlining financial controls, optimizing capital structure, and fostering partnerships that position Perpetua as a leader in domestic critical minerals production essential for national security and renewable energy transitions.
