Richard J. Bielen, C.P.A. (Age 64) Mr. Bielen is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Protective Life Corporation. He formerly served as Vice Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer at Protective Life Corporation. Prior to joining Protective Life Corporation, Mr. Bielen was Senior Vice President for Oppenheimer & Co. from 1986 to 1991. Mr. Bielen holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University.
