Sumedh S. Thakar has served as a director of Qualys since February 2021, as our Chief Executive Officer since April 2021 and as our President since October 2019. Mr. Thakar previously served as our interim Chief Executive Officer from February 2021 to April 2021, and as our Chief Product Officer from June 2014 to April 2021. Mr. Thakar joined us in February 2003 and has held various positions with us since that time, including Principal Engineer, Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, and Vice President, Engineering. Mr. Thakar holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Pune, India. We believe that Mr. Thakar possesses specific attributes that qualify him to serve as a member of our board of directors, including his experience as our President and Chief Product Officer and his knowledge of our company.
