Dr. Yuping Huang serves as Chairman and Chief Quantum Officer at Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi), where he spearheads the company's strategic vision and technological innovation in photonics-based quantum computing. With more than two decades of expertise in quantum optics, integrated photonics, and quantum information science, Dr. Huang has been instrumental in bridging theoretical quantum research with practical, room-temperature applications. His leadership has positioned QCi as a pioneer in developing scalable quantum hardware, including entangled photon sources and quantum random number generators. Dr. Huang earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2003, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Maryland and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He later joined Stevens Institute of Technology, rising to the rank of tenured Full Professor in the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics. There, he directed the Nanophotonics Research Lab, authoring over 100 peer-reviewed publications and securing numerous patents for breakthroughs in nanophotonic devices, quantum state preparation, and single-photon detectors. At QCi, Dr. Huang oversees the core quantum technology roadmap, driving advancements like the Dirac-3 platform for high-fidelity entanglement distribution and commercial quantum systems. His achievements include enabling real-world quantum applications in cybersecurity, optimization, and sensing, earning recognition from industry leaders and accelerating QCi's growth in the global quantum ecosystem.
