Abraham Ceesay, M.B.A., is the Chief Executive Officer of Rapport Therapeutics Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company revolutionizing precision medicine for neurological disorders. Leveraging its proprietary RAP-101 signaling platform, Rapport is developing first-in-class therapies targeting genetically validated receptors to address unmet needs in conditions like epilepsy, chronic pain, and psychiatric disorders. As CEO, Ceesay oversees all aspects of the company's strategy, operations, and pipeline advancement, including the lead candidate RAP-219, currently in Phase 2 trials for treatment-resistant focal epilepsy, and earlier-stage programs in itch and other neurology indications. With over 20 years of leadership in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, Ceesay previously served as Vice President and Head of the Rare Disease Unit at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, where he directed RNAi therapeutic programs from discovery through late-stage clinical development. His tenure at Biogen as Senior Vice President of Rare Disease and Neurology R&D further honed his expertise, as did earlier roles at Pfizer in oncology and rare diseases, and at Genzyme in business development. Holding an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Rutgers University, Ceesay has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and navigating complex R&D landscapes. Under Ceesay's stewardship, Rapport has achieved significant milestones, including a successful Nasdaq IPO in 2024 that raised over $300 million, enabling accelerated clinical progress and platform expansion. His strategic vision has positioned the company to deliver transformative therapies, earning recognition for advancing patient-centric innovation in neurology. Ceesay's blend of scientific acumen, commercial insight, and entrepreneurial drive continues to propel Rapport toward becoming a leader in precision neurology.
